In your final year, you’ll showcase your work at the Degree Show – an event attended by landscape practitioners where previous students have been head-hunted by leading landscape design practices. Our robust, studio-based curriculum is taught by award-winning faculty and designed to fully engage your artistic, analytical and inventive self. The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) is a four-year professional degree program that prepares you to become a successful, licensed landscape architect. The curriculum includes required courses for the major as well as additional general education program requirements and electives. The courses and credit hours that define the curriculum leading to the degree of Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) are described in the next section. The course also offers a balanced mix of theory, design work and introduction to professional practice. We are Landscape Architecture is an open enrollment program. The Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois offers undergraduate and master’s level programs, as well as a PhD program in landscape architecture, one of the few in the nation. Students have worked on a range of sites in Cheltenham such as Pittville Park, Gloucester such as Kings Square, and Bristol such as The Diesel Depot and Temple Meads.
